Mit seiner kreativen musikalischen Interpretation, dem Farbenreichtum seines Spiels, mit seiner kraftvollen und makellosen Technik sowie mit seinem reifen und aufrichtigen Sinn für Musik eroberte JeungBeum bereits früh viele Herzen. 2017 gewann er als erster koreanischer Pianist den 1. Preis des ARD-Musikwettbewerbs in München.  In seiner Heimat wurde er mit dem Musikpreis des Ministeriums für Kultur geehrt, welcher an hervorragend talentierte koreanische Künstler vergeben wird.

With his rich and creative musical interpretation, the depth of colour in his playing, his powerful and flawless technique and his profound and sincere sense of music, JeungBeum captured many hearts early in his career. In 2017 he was the first Korean pianist to win the 1st prize at the ARD Music Competition in Munich. In his home country, he was honored with the Music Prize of the Ministry of Culture, which is awarded to exceptionally talented Korean artists.
